CP Plus has been appointed to manage the car parks for High Speed 1’s stations at Stratford International, Ebbsfleet International, Ashford International and St Pancras International.
The 5 year contract to manage the rail infrastructure complex demonstrates CP Plus’ high standing in the railway sector. The car parks were previously managed by NCP.
Ebbsfleet international is the largest of the High Speed 1 car parks and one of the busiest stations in the country with close to 3,000 cars passing through it per day. The 5,077 space site comprises 4 surface level car parks and acts as a commuter base for those living in Kent. CP Plus will ensure customer satisfaction is maintained whilst changes are made to accommodate a new community of motorists who will be looking to use the car parks.
The overall aim for the Ebbsfleet site is to ensure car park excellence, CP Plus is looking to achieve this through enabling motorists to pre-book their parking time online. The sites have pay on foot services and an ANPR system is already installed which allows motorists who have pre-booked online to use the site without validating their ticket. CP Plus is also looking to improve customer interaction by bringing the customer kiosk onto the concourse. A number of other customer initiatives are being considered such as valet parking and car washing facilities.
Ashford International comprises of a multi storey car park with six floors of parking, 2 surface car parks and has 1,800 spaces. Quality service will be ensured through 24/7 management and easily accessible pay on foot systems. CP Plus will also provide facilities and asset management services including repairs as well as vegetation control and management to maintain a tidy and welcoming forecourt.
The multi-storey car park at St Pancras International provides a further 315 spaces. The site also has pay on foot services integrated with ANPR, cleaning services are alsoprovided by CP Plus. For the convenience of customers the car park will be open 24 hours a day to ensure a seamless service for train users arriving in the early hours of the morning and late at night.
A number of changes will be introduced across Ashford International, Ebbsfleet International and St Pancras International stations. CP Plus has also ensured compliance with the latest data security standards by installing Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant chip and pin functionality to all the pay machines at Ebbsfleet International and St Pancras International.
Stratford International Station multi-storey car park provides 850 parking spaces convenient for the events planned at the Olympic Park site. CP Plus have installed the latest ANPR system linked to a multi-payment platform giving customers complete flexibility on how to pay, including a unique, no barrier, touchless pay as you go system.
